What is a massage good for, and what can you expect? A massage reduces stress by promoting the production of oxytocin and serotonin. It lowers blood pressure by helping you relax and breathe more calmly. Additionally, your muscles are loosened, as the massage stimulates blood circulation and helps flush out accumulated toxins from the body. Furthermore, a massage helps you connect better with yourself and your own body.
If you've never had a massage before, you might wonder what to expect. At Slow Down, we start with a brief introduction where we discuss your massage. What are your concerns? What do you need? What do you enjoy? After that, it's time for the massage, and you'll lie face down on the massage table. Our massage therapist begins with a gentle back massage. Then, your shoulders, neck, legs, feet, and arms are massaged. Stomach and chest massage are optional. The session always ends with a relaxing head massage. Afterward, you'll leave feeling completely relaxed! Learn more about our massages here.
